HTB by Night

I ended up going to the 5 o'clock Circo Luci show, so I was in Huis Ten Bosch after sunset. To be honest, I expected more from the show, but I might very well be unfairly comparing it to the Cirque du Soleil! There was one amazing performer (I don't think I've ever seen such an enormous and man who was so "cut" before!) who did some really cool things with and in both a giant ring and later an open metal cube. At one point, he had the cube (which was as tall as he was) tipped up on one of its corners and was spinning it on his forehead! It didn't even look real. The costumes of the "extras" were quite bizarre, but were entertaining.
Afterwards I wandered around a little more, grabbed a hot chai tea latte from the man selling them in the VW bus (again - random, but cute!), and enjoyed the town as it began to wink on at twilight.

Tracey---

You are doing such an awesome job of showing the rest of us what life in Japan is really like. I know it gets lonely---and it is so much more fun to share new adventures with someone-----but just think of all of us looking over your shoulder as you travel around. When you get tired of teaching how about a career as a photo-journalist? Many years from now when you are sitting in the rocking chair you will look back at this wonderful time in your life adn think of all the people you have met and the places you have visited----and wish y ou could do it all over again.

Hang in there-----take care of yourself. God bless and keep smilin'

Love--------Cathy

Oooohhhh... a chai tea latte has me jonesin' for something expensive and caffeinated.

Did I tell you that my long-estranged-and-back-in-my-life sister is a supervisor for that famous coffee company? Yeah, well, she has me ordering drinks with names longer than my blog posts.

My current favorite is a "personal grande sugar-free caramel caramel affogato caramel frappuccino light blended coffee." Yes, you say caramel three times and the barista gives you a German Shepherd look in return, but hey! A girl's gotta get her way in something!
