I'm on my way to the Goto Islands in the morning, so I'm staying in Nagasaki tonight. To my surprise, I found a sweet little origami crane on a yukata on my bed.
***I just realized I'm doing two things I've rarely done in the past 3 years - watch TV and sleep in a bed! The TV is actually good Japanese practice. I think this is a travel channel & the narrator's in Belgium. Pretty hysterical!

I found your blog by accident and I am glad that I did. I really like it and I hope to see more :D

1. If you hadn't told me the picture was in Japan, I would not have guessed. Looksmore like an old European city (of course I think of Delft...)
2. No TV - not a big surprise. No bed - wow, yeah, I'd have a hard time adjusting to that!!! So will this practice continue when you return to the states? :-)

Cara, the only thing about that picture that is IN Japan, is the fact that it was on a Japanese TV. :p
Like I said, I was watching a travel channel, and they were in some little European town. I wanted to see if a picture from the TV would work - it did. Yeah - definitely NOT Japan! However, the place where I ended up in Nagasaki yesterday, "Dutch Slope", has some very non-Japanese buildings, too. ;)

C - as for the bed/no bed comment - I don't know what's in store for me back in the States, but at least I'm really low maintenance when it comes to sleeping arrangements!
